What is a proctor and why are they needed at the graduate level?A proctor is an individual who ensures and oversees the graduate student takes an exam or completes an activity under typical test conditions. An education administrator, faculty member, guidance counselor, or librarian, or a member of the clergy is preferred. Proctors cannot be related to the student by blood, marriage, or direct supervisor. Our national accreditation requires a minimum number of proctored activities in each graduate program. It is very important that the Proctor Nomination Form be mailed to the Graduate Program Registrar at Ashworth University before completing your 1st graduate credit course (typically, 651, ethics). |
